The poem originally started as my attempt to write my own quote. The inspiration came from the main speaker of the corporate orientation that I have just attended. The speaker had a habit of saying "at the end of the day"
during her entire speech -- up to the point of becoming more monotonous and annoying. I know deep inside that there was something more with the filler phrase "at the end of the day" for she enjoyed repeating it. Unlike others who were making fun of the speaker's weaknesses, I looked on the positive aspect of it. So I played around with the phrase hoping to get a better quote, but it turned out that I was getting more from what I am looking for. Aside from this, I was writing the poem on the day we were about to receive an employment offer from our new employer.
